WS 6.3 Road user communications in winter service
Thursday, February 10 17:15 - 18:45 (Calgary)
Chair: Ryo NAKATANI
This topic will look at what winter information the general public want and need to know, and the best platforms to use to ensure the information can be delivered clearly and efficiently using both manual input and information being received and sent from connected vehicles. Also, what are the effects winter conditions will have on connected and autonomous vehicles; and the effect connected and autonomous vehicles on winter service? Winter maintenance needs many data such as meteorological forecasts and creates many data when winter service trucks are on the road. Should one communicate that data to all road users and if so how?
